Properties
Polyvinyl chloride is a non-crystalline high polymer, and its glass transition temperature is 105-75 °C in terms of molecular size: compared with other general-purpose plastics, polyvinyl chloride has the characteristics of flame retardancy and self-extinguishing, and has excellent Chemical resistance, electrical insulation, chemical stability and thermoplasticity. Insoluble in water, alcohol, gasoline, swell or dissolve in ether, ketone and aromatic. Polyvinyl chloride resin, the appearance is white amorphous powder, the particle size is 60-250, the apparent density is 0.40-0.60g/ml. The viscosity of a dilute solution containing 0.5g of cyclohexanone in 100ml is 80-160ml/g. 100 grams of resin at room temperature absorbs 20-30 grams of plasticizer.
Applications
Mainly used for the production of transparent sheets, which can be calendered into rigid and semi-rigid sheets for packaging, boards, floor materials, lining hard films (sugar paper, cigarette packaging films), etc.: can be extruded into rigid and semi-rigid packaging films Sheets, plates, profiles; can be injection molded into joints, valves, electrical parts, auto parts and containers.
